The specialities of La Terrasse restaurant

La Terrasse restaurant showcases regional specialities. The bar will charm you with its colourful cocktails and local wines, perfect for accompanying your meal.

On the menu, don’t miss the beuchelle à la tourangelle or the ‘Roi Rose’ pork belly. But what is beuchelle? Beuchelle is a hot dish made with sweetbreads and veal kidneys. This mixture is accompanied by crème fraîche and mushrooms. The origins of beuchelle are somewhat contradictory, but everyone attributes this delicacy to our region! As for the ‘Roi Rose’ pork belly, it comes from Touraine pigs. This breed is still carefully reared by a few farmers in the region. Roi Rose is also the main ingredient in authentic Tours rillettes. In other words, it’s hard to find anything more local and representative of the flavours of Touraine.

However, if you prefer more classic dishes, you’ll also find burgers, beautiful cuts of meat, fresh salads and sharing platters.

Now for our experience !

When we arrived, Chloé, the restaurant manager, gave us a warm welcome. She led us to the terrace, where there was still a hint of summer in the air. Before we ordered, Chloé took the time to explain the house specialities. She particularly emphasised the restaurant’s two specialities, mentioned earlier: beuchelle and pork belly. Everyone quickly found something to their liking among the traditional dishes and more modern options

We then watched a cocktail demonstration at the bar. With a few quick movements, the ingredients were mixed, shaken in the shaker, and the magic happened: a colourful cocktail was born. With or without alcohol, there is no shortage of drinks on the menu. What’s more, if you want to discover the region’s wines, the establishment offers a wide range of options produced by local winegrowers.

The dishes were then served, elegantly presented. They all looked delicious. We savoured every last bite! What makes this place so charming is its welcoming atmosphere, enhanced by the surrounding nature. It feels like being in a timeless bubble. Dining at La Terrasse is like treating yourself to a holiday break, whether you’re eating with family, as a couple or with friends.

Then came the moment for gourmet desserts. Here again, the menu adapts to offer desserts made with seasonal produce that are always delicious. Fruity pastries, delicious ice cream sundaes – so many delicacies that are hard to resist. We recommend, for example, the tea or coffee gourmet with its six desserts so you can sample each sweet treat in miniature form.
