"Ambiance Troglo" – an real experience!

If there’s one experience you won’t want to miss during your stay in Val d’Amboise, it’s discovering the world of the caves! The Châteaux of the Loire Valley would be nothing without tuffeau stone. From Saumur to Chambord, and not forgetting Amboise, this white stone embellishes the finest castles and many private homes. And at the root of it all were the thousands of workers who toiled to extract these blocks from hundreds of underground quarries. Now unused, these thousands of kilometres of underground galleries have been taken over for a host of experiences as unusual as they are diverse!
