Anaïs Dunn's exhibition at the Garage Art Centre in Amboise
Exhibition at the Garage Centre d’Art d’Amboise: Anaïs Dunn invites visitors to “constantly seek out the fundamental, naturalistic perspective”
From 4 April to 24 May 2026, the Garage Centre d’Art d’Amboise is hosting an exhibition by visual artist Anaïs Dunn, in an intimate dialogue between art, science and nature.
An artistic laboratory
As soon as you enter the exhibition space, the tone is set: this is not merely an art gallery, but a veritable laboratory. Each work is presented on a plinth reminiscent of a scientist’s laboratory bench, as if the artist were presenting the results of her experiments to the visitor. This staging is no mere formality — it encapsulates Anaïs Dunn’s entire approach, which draws inspiration from Earth sciences and geodynamic phenomena to create installations that are both poetic and experimental.
Born in the Dordogne in 1984 and a graduate of the HEAR in Strasbourg, Anaïs Dunn has been working for some fifteen years at the intersection of art, science and ecological issues. Her work — sculptures, installations, videos — has already been exhibited in renowned institutions such as the MUDAC in Lausanne, the FRAC Alsace, and as part of European Glass Context in Denmark.

Glass, water and vegetation: a ‘molecular’ work
What strikes the viewer in this exhibition is the subtlety of the materials chosen. Anaïs Dunn creates a molecular work centred on blown glass, water and vegetation, assembled in terrariums that seem to bring together two worlds: the mineral and the living. The transparent, fluid forms of the glass weave their way among the plants, insects and bacteria — making visible what the eye does not usually perceive.
Closely linked to the Loire region, the exhibition pays particular attention to microscopic life and the systemic interactions that shape our environment. Without ever imposing a militant discourse, the artist simply invites visitors to feel the fragility of the natural world and to become aware of it through a unique sensory experience.
Events for everyone
The exhibition is accompanied by a packed programme: free guided tours on Saturdays 2 and 16 May at 5pm (no booking required), introductory art workshops for children from 3pm on Wednesdays, as well as a ‘wall-free’ trail to discover art in the city’s public spaces.
