By road, Amboise is 2.5 hours from Paris and Nantes.

By tourist coach
Pont Leclerc bridge cannot be crossed by vehicles over 7.5 tonnes, unless travelling to Ethic Etapes, the campsite and the pool. Tourist coaches must take Pont Debré bridge, located upstream, to reach or leave the city centre.

How to get around in Amboise
Amboise’s historic centre can be easily discovered on foot. The pedestrian sections along the Loire at Rue Nationale and Place Michel Debré are lovely spots to stroll between little shops, built heritage and the landscapes of the Loire.


By bus
A municipal bus links Amboise train station to the historic city centre, as well as the main shopping area. A regional bus connects Amboise, Tours and Chenonceaux at least once a day, while the train links Amboise to Tours, Orléans and Paris.
