About the Chateau de Pray
The Château de Pray, located near Amboise in the Centre-Val de Loire region, is a historic 13th-century building, remodeled during the Renaissance, which has watched over the Loire Valley for centuries. Surrounded by a 5-hectare wooded park with French-style gardens, a terrace, and a heated swimming pool, it offers a bucolic and romantic setting conducive to relaxation and discovery.
The Château Hotel has 19 rooms spread across the château and its outbuildings, including one accessible to guests with reduced mobility.
Each room combines old-world charm with modern comfort, with features such as four-poster beds, antique furniture, and period stained-glass windows.

The Michelin-starred restaurant “L’Orangerie” is run by chef Arnaud Philippon. Located in a troglodyte room carved out of tuffeau stone, the restaurant offers modern and refined cuisine, showcasing local and seasonal produce. The dishes regularly evolve according to seasonality and the chef’s desires, but one signature creation always remains on the menu: the warm Touraine blackcurrant soufflé, the chef’s signature dessert. In this way, the Château de Pray actively supports the local economy and promotes sustainable tourism.
The restaurant is open from Wednesday evening to Sunday lunchtime.

Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Gwendoline, who then allowed us to explore the grounds with her. This gave us the opportunity to enjoy the authentic yet refined setting. We were able to explore one of the Château’s lounges and then the terrace, allowing us to admire the beauty of the surrounding landscapes.
The experience continued around the outdoor pool, where a carefully prepared cocktail awaited us. We then enjoyed the pool, dipping our feet in and sipping our delicious fruity cocktails, comfortably seated on our deckchairs. We were able to experience the soothing and serene atmosphere of this place.
It was a truly relaxing and convivial moment, offering us a total immersion in this exceptional setting, where elegance and refinement blend with tranquility!
We were then able to gain a glimpse of the quality of the experiences offered by the Château de Pray through this moment of tranquility where the French art of living and culinary pleasures met. This gave us the opportunity to truly immerse ourselves in the sensory experience of this place.
